The Heir tracing company in the fourth generation

The Moser heir tracing company can look back on a history spanning over a century. It was originally founded in 1904 in Germany by Felix Hugo Moser.

He was a publisher and journalist by profession and was regularly appointed by the German consulates in various countries to publish want ads in his newspaper. Legal heirs were sought in this way when the consulates made an effort to find the legal heirs upon the death of a German testator abroad.

Due to the number of letter from potential heirs, Felix Hugo Moser was requested by the German consulates to conduct a pre-selection process as to who the factual heirs were.

The idea of an independent, international heir tracing agency derived from this activity. Still today we have archives that stretch back to the founding year of our agency.

In the meanwhile, the Moser family has several heir tracing agencies in Germany and Switzerland. Hans-Jochen Moser, senior executive and grandson of Felix Hugo Moser, decided on the international location of Switzerland after decades of experience in the genealogy branch. Together with his children and a professional staff, the heir tracing company has been run for four generations.

Moser Progenus AG is constantly expanding and currently employs 12 staff, of which the majority are administrative genealogists and most of these are fully qualified lawyers.
